Shop Local Holiday Guide

This season more than ever its important to support our local small businesses are we get through another round of covid-19 closures. Below is a list of businesses and humans I adore, offering what they are best at.

Give the gift of Wellness:

  • Pause Meditation: Pause Meditation offers a TON of virtual goodness that couldn't be more relevant for the season of life we are currently in. I recently took their 8 week MBSR course and it was a game changer for my mental wellbeing. They have gift cards, monthly membership and courses for all areas of mental wellbeing.

  • Tami Apland : Tami is an incredible massage therapist. Last year she nourished the participants of a yoga retreat I offered and everyone was signing up for a second massage as quick as they could. She has a depth of knowledge about the human body that makes her massages unlike any other. She has gift cards available or you can schedule directly through her website. P.S. She follows all covid-19 safety measures and has a beautiful new massage space.

Give the Gift of Nourishment:

  • The Fireside: The fireside is one of Portlands true gems. Delicious food and drinks, warm and welcoming staff, and the coziest of ambience. They are temporarily closed due to Oregons latest closure but you can purchase gift cards and visit them on the other side of this quarantine.

  • Primally Pure: Primally Pure is strong on the self care game! They make all organic, non toxic skin care and self care products. Not local to Oregon but local to California and therefore my heart. I love so many of their products and a lot are perfect for stocking stuffers. Bonus! Use code ETY10 for 10% off

  • Ps and Qs Market: I adore this neighborhood market! Not only do they have the basic grocery items but they make delicious hot dinners to go. Definitely treat yourself to the warm chocolate chip and sea salt cookies. They are so good I buy extra and leave them on my neighbors doorstep.

Give the gift of Beauty:

  • 220 Salon: Salons are still open and if you haven't checked out 220's newest location in North Portland you are missing out. Not only is the staff incredibly talented and creative but the location is dreamy and super spacious to stay safe. They also have an online store with lots of natural hair products to choose from. They also have gift cards if you aren't quite ready to go indoors!

  • Karen Pride Ceramics: Karen makes the most beautiful ceramic plates, mugs, and pasta bowels. She has talent oozing out of her and an eye for beauty. I cant think of a better way to get to be a part of family holidays, even if you aren't there in person, then gifting beautiful handmade dishes.

  • Amber Fenton Photography: Amber is a talented PNW photographer with a specialty in making people feel at ease. She has a way of capturing the sweetest moments. Amber is currently offering family holiday sessions for $175 an hour with 50-70 edited photos. Plus any 2021 weddings booked with her before Jan 1st receive $300 off!
