RETREATS

Yay! Let's go to Fiji!

September 15th-21st, 2024

Retreat Details:

  • The retreat begins with dinner on September 15th and concludes with breakfast on September 21st.

  • Most flights to Fiji are a red eye, so many of you will be arriving in the morning. The resort is used to this and makes it a priority to get you into your room upon arrival. They cannot guarantee early check in, but work hard to make it happen. Otherwise, there are pools, beaches, and spas to lounge at.

 Travel:

  • Fiji requires 6 month validity on your passport for entrance, so now is a good time to check your expiration dates.

  • Whichever airport you choose to fly into (see flight info below) a complimentary shuttle will be arranged for you. I always aim to have airport transfer included in the price, but each resort is different. Originally this was not included, but they made it happen!

Money:

  • Extra excursions, spa services and alcohol can be charged to your credit card at the end of the stay.

  • Fijian dollars are accepted in the very small town of Savu Savu. The resort recommends having $110 Fijian dollars (about $50 USD) on hand for things like taxi rides and small purchases from local vendors.

  • Best practice is to order money ahead of time from your bank for the best exchange rate. However, there are ATM's in town.

What to pack:

  • Reusable water bottle. There is a heavy filtration system at the resort with locations to fill up your water bottle.

  • Yoga clothes with moisture wicking layers. The average temperature while we are there is 68-84 degrees. Um, perfect? However, being on a tropical island means brief afternoon rain storms can come through. A rain jacket is too hot, so the resort recommends light, moisture wicking layers.

  • Casual, island chic clothing for dinners. The resort has 3 different restaurants available to us. Some of our meals will be together as a group, some nights will be "free nights out" where you can choose to eat in your swimsuit at the pool side bar, our regular restaurant, or the fine dining restaurant.

  • Swimsuit

  • Sandals, hiking shoes, and if preferred, water shoes for things like snorkeling and paddle boarding

  • Sunscreen and hats - most of our practices will be outside.

  • Adapter for charging devices

What not to pack:

  • Yoga mat. You are always welcome to bring your own mat, but they have some for us to use.

Flight Info:

  • Our retreat is located on the Island of Vanua Levu. All flights will have a plane change at Nadi international airport on the main Island of Viti Levu, before our final flight to Vanua Levu. Vanua Levu has two airports, you can either book your final destination to Savusavu airport or Labasa airport.

  • The flight to Savusavu is 60-70 minutes and on a 14 passenger plane. From there the drive is just 15 minutes to the resort.

  • The Labasa airport is a 45 minute flight and a 60-90 minute drive to the resort (I'm told its a beautiful drive) on a plane that seats 50 people. So if you are not comfortable on the 14 passenger plane, you have this option.

  • Whichever airport you choose, I will arrange for a driver to pick you up. I have attached an image below so you can visualize your options.
